![]() You listed a bunch of great games in the poll, and my personal favorite is Deus Ex, but even with mods the original can take a lot of dedication to get into nowadays. Additional note, I have played the entire BioShock series, but it seems very light on the immersive sim elements. Thief being here is a risky choice for me.Įdit: And I hit enter before finishing this. I feel the need to mention as well, I'm not the best at stealth. They're sacrifices I'm willing to make though. I'm aware that leaves out most of the Underworld games and the original System Shock. Anything older than '98 or 97 is probably pushing me past what I consider playable. I will add as well, I'm not bothered by old games. I'm bad with money, so I already own pretty much every major immersive sim you can buy, this includes DLC. Obviously the older influenced the genre more than the newer, but the newer have the benefit of probably not looking like a potato and maybe some more quality of life features. There's the older games of the late 90s and early 2000s and the newer titles ranging from the late 2000s to now. The problem is, I have no idea on which to play. ![]() So much you can interact with in the settings, some solid storytelling told in some more unique ways, and some highly regarded games are in the genre. Immersive Sims has been a genre that has caught my attention for a while. ![]()
